The group released their debut album, ‘Distance’, in 2007. In 2010, Rice left the group to pursue a solo career.

About Chase Rice

Early Life

Chase Rice was born on September 19, 1985, in Erwin, North Carolina. He was raised on a farm in nearby Dunn, NC. His father worked as a welder and his mother was a stay-at-home mom. He has two older brothers, one of whom is also named Chase. Rice began playing guitar at the age of 16. After graduating from high school, he attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. He played football for the school’s team as a linebacker. During his time at Appalachian State, Rice also became interested in country music. He began performing at local bars and clubs.

Country Music Career

Rice released his debut solo album, ‘Ignite the Night’, in 2014. The album peaked at number two on the US Country chart and was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
In 2017, Rice released his second album, ‘Lambs & Lions’. The album peaked at number four on the US Country chart.
In 2020, Rice released his third album, ‘The Album’. The album peaked at number one on the US Country chart, making it his first number one album.
