About Chris Janson
Janson was born in Perryville, Missouri, on April 2, 1986. He began playing guitar at the age of six and started writing songs at the age of eight.
After graduating from high school, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a career in music. He signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2009 and released his debut single, “Til a Woman Comes Along”, that year. The song peaked at Number 55 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
In 2013, he signed with Bigger Picture Music Group and released his second single, “Better I Don’t”, which failed to chart. He then released his third single, “Buy Me a Boat”, in 2015. The song became his first top 40 hit on the Country Airplay chart, peaking at Number 33.
In 2016, Janson released the single “Holdin’ Her”, which peaked at Number Two on the Country Airplay chart. He also released his fourth single, “Fix a Drink”, which reached Number One on the Country Airplay chart.
Janson’s second album, Everybody, was released in September 2017. It peaked at Number Four on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
In 2018, Janson released two singles, ” Drunk Girl” and “Good Vibes”. “Drunk Girl” peaked at Number One on the Country Airplay chart, making it Janson’s first Number One single. “Good Vibes” peaked at Number Five on the Country Airplay chart.
Chris Janson has been married to his wife, Kelly Lynn, since 2010. They have four children, two of whom are from Lynn’s previous marriage.
