About Chris Young
Early Life
Young was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee! He attended Middle Tennessee State University where he majored in mass communication! He played guitar and sang for various bands while in college! After graduation, he worked for a music publishing company and as a songwriter. In 2006, he was declared the winner of the television program Nashville Star, a singing competition that aired on the USA Network.
Musical Career
After graduating from high school, Chris Young moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. He was soon signed by RCA Records. His debut album, “Chris Young”, was released in 2006. The album was a critical success, and it landed Chris Young a spot on the famed Grand Ole Opry stage.
Chris Young’s career has been on the rise ever since. He has released eight studio albums, and he has won multiple awards, including the Academy of Country Music’s “Top Male Vocalist” award. Chris Young is also a successful touring artist, and he regularly headlines his own concerts and festivals.
