Nettles later attended Agnes Scott College, where she majored in Spanish and anthropology. It was during her time at Agnes Scott that Nettles met Kristian Bush. The two began playing music together and eventually formed Sugarland. Sugarland’s follow-up album, Enjoy the Ride, was released in 2006. It featured the hit singles “Want To” and “Everyday America.” The Sugarland was the first Grammy Award nomination for the Best New Artist category.
Sugarland’s next album, titled Love on the Inside, was released in 2008. It included the hit singles “All I Want to Do” and “Already Gone.” The album was certified 2× Platinum by the RIAA. Sugarland went on hiatus in 2012 but announced that they would be reuniting in 2017.
