About Judah and The Lion
History and Career
The band met while attending Belmont University. After graduation, they moved to Nashville and began working on their music career. Their first EP, First Fruits was released in 2012, followed by their second EP Sweet Tennessee in 2013. It reached number two on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart and number 9 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
In 2014, the band released their first full-length album, Kids These Days. It debuted at number 4 on the Folk Albums chart and number 2 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
The band’s second album, Folk Hop ‘n’ Roll, was released in 2016. It debuted at number 3 on the Alternative New Artist Chart and number 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.
Their third record, Pep Talks, was released in 2019. The singles “Over my head,” “Why Did You Run?”, and “Beautiful Anyway” are included on the album. It reached number 18 on the Billboard 200 in the United States. Their fourth album Revival was released on June 10, 2022, on the Cletus the Van label.
