About Justin Moore
Early Life
Justin Cole Moore was born on March 30, 1984, in Poyen, Arkansas. Moore attended high school, where he began performing. After graduation, he joined his uncle’s Southern rock band. He started writing songs at age 15, and after graduating from high school, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a music career.
Personal Life
Moore married Kate Kercheval in 2007. The couple has three daughters and a son together. In January 2022, Moore began working at a local country radio station. He later co-hosted a morning show on the same station.
Music Career
In 2008, Moore signed with The Valory Music Co., a subsidiary of Big Machine Records. His debut single, “Back That Thing Up”, was released in 2009 and peaked at number 38 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. He released his self-titled debut album in August 2009. The album’s second single, “Small Town USA”, was released in September 2009 and peaked at number one on the country charts. The album “Justin Moore” was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
On June 21, 2011, Moore released his second album, “Outlaws Like Me”. The album’s lead-off single, “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away”, was released in 2011 and peaked at second number on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The album’s second single, “Bait a Hook”, was released in 2012 and peaked at number 17 on the Hot Country Songs chart. The album “Outlaws Like Me” was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
On March 5, 2013, Moore released his third album, “Off the Beaten Path”. The album’s lead-off single, “Point at You”, was released in 2013 and peaked at number two on the Country Airplay chart. The album’s second single, “Lettin’ the Night Roll”, was released in 2013 and peaked at number 7 on the Hot Country Songs chart. The album “Off the Beaten Path” was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
On May 6, 2016, Moore released his fourth album, “Kinda Don’t Care”. The album’s lead-off single, “You Look Like I Need a Drink”, was released on November 17, 2015, and peaked at number one on the Country Airplay chart. The album’s third single, “Kinda Don’t Care”, was released on September 18, 2017, and peaked at number 17 on the Country Airplay chart.
On July 26, 2019, Moore released his fifth album, “Late Nights and Longnecks”. The album includes the singles “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home”, and “Why We Drink”. The album peaked at number two on the Billboard Country Albums chart.
Straight Outta the Country, the sixth studio album, was released in 2021. The album includes the single “We Didn’t Have Much”. The album peaked at number 38 on the Billboard Country Albums chart.
