About Kip Moore
Early Life
Moore was born in Tifton, Georgia, on April 2, 1980. He was raised in the small town of Alapaha, Georgia. Moore has two brothers and three sisters. After graduation, he attended Wallace State Community College. Moore started playing guitar in college. After graduating from high school, Moore moved to Hawaii. He worked various jobs, he also played music at local bars and clubs. In 2004, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a career in country music.
Kip Moore is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys surfing, rock climbing, and hiking. He also co-manages a lodging facility.
Musical Career
After moving to Nashville, Tennessee, Moore began working with producer Brett James. He signed a publishing deal with MCA Nashville in 2012. On September 27, 2011, he released his debut single, “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck”. It peaked at number one on the Hot Country Songs chart. The song also charted on the Hot 100 and was certified 3× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2012, Moore released his first album, Up All Night. The album’s second single, “Beer Money”, peaked at number third on the Country Airplay chart. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
In 2014, Moore released his second album, Wild Ones. The album’s lead single, “Dirt Road”, peaked at 44 on the Country Airplay chart. The album’s second single, “I’m to Blame”, was over successful, reaching number 20. The single was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
In 2017, Moore released his third album, Slowheart. The album’s lead single, “More Girls Like You”, peaked at number four on the Country Airplay chart. The album’s second single, “Last Shot”, was also successful, reaching the sixth number.
On September 4, 2020, Kip Moore released his fourth album, Wild World. The lead single from the album, “She’s Mine”, was released on June 19, 2020. The album’s second single, “Fire and Flame”, was released in 2020.

Moore has won several nominations throughout his career, including the Country Music Association Awards “New Artist of the Year” and the American Country Awards “Single by a New Artist” and “Music Video by a New Artist”.
