About Little Big Town

History

All four members of Little Big Town first met in the mid-1990s while singing in various church choirs and groups around their hometowns in Alabama and Georgia. They eventually started working together as a group, and by 1998, they had released their first self-titled album.

The four members of Little Big Town are all married. Karen Fairchild is married to Jimi Westbrook, who also performs in the group. Phillip Sweet is married to Rebecca Arthur, and Kimberly Roads is married to Stephen Schlapman.

Career

In 1998, the group released their first album, Little Big Town. The album included the singles “Everything Changes” and “Don’t Waste My Time”. The album was not a commercial success, selling only about 5,000 copies.

In 2005, Little Big Town released their second album, The Road to Here. The album’s first single, “Bring It On Home,” was a Top 20 hit on the country charts. The album’s second single, “Good as Gone,” was also a Top 20 hit. The record was a commercial success, selling over one million copies and being certified platinum by the RIAA. The Road to Here was Nominated for the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Country Album.

In 2007, Little Big Town released their third album, A Place to Land. The album’s first single, “I’m with the Band,” was a Top 10 hit on the country charts. The album’s second single, “Fine Line” was also a Top 10 hit.

In 2013, Little Big Town won three Grammy Awards: Best Country Album for Tornado, Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Pontoon”. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the album as platinum.

In September 2014, Little Big Town released their sixth studio album Pain Killer. The album’s lead single “Day Drinking” peaked at number 2 on the Country Airplay chart in January 2015.
