Personal Life and Career
RaeLynn was born Racheal Lynn Woodward on May 4, 1994, in Baytown, Texas. Her father, Ronnie Woodward, is a country music singer and songwriter. RaeLynn began singing and writing songs with him at a young age.
RaeLynn is married to Joshua Davis, a military man. They were married on February 27, 2016. They have one daughter together, named Daisy Rae, who was born on September 8, 2021.
RaeLynn was a contestant in the second season of The Voice. She was part of Team Blake Shelton. RaeLynn was eliminated in the Battle Rounds. After The Voice, RaeLynn signed with Republic Nashville, an imprint of Big Machine Label Group. Her debut single, “God Made Girls”, was released on June 30, 2014, and peaked at number one on the Country Digital Songs chart in August 2015. The song’s accompanying music video was directed by TK McKamy and premiered in July 2014. RaeLynn’s first extended play, Me was released on January 13, 2015.
RaeLynn’s debut studio album, WildHorse, was released on March 24, 2017. The album’s lead single, “Love Triangle”, was released to radio on August 1, 2016, and peaked at number 26 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. The album’s second single, “Lonely Call”, was released on June 26, 2017, and peaked at number 50 on the Hot Country Songs. The album’s third single, “Insecure”, was released in May 2017.
On November 8, 2019, RaeLynn announced she had signed a new record deal with Round Here Records. She also announced that her second studio album would be titled Baytown and would be released on September 24, 2021. The album’s lead single, “Keep Up”, was released to country radio in April 2020.
