About Clint Black

Early Life

After graduating from high school, Clint Black moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. He signed with RCA Records in 1989 and released his debut album, Killin’ Time, the following year. The album’s lead single, “A Better Man,” became a huge hit, reaching number one on the country charts.

Personal Life and Career

Clint Black married Lisa Hartman in 1991. The couple has a daughter together, Lily Pearl.
In 1993, Black released his second album, Put Yourself in My Shoes. The album’s lead single, “Nobody’s Home,” was another number one hit for the singer.
Black continued to enjoy success throughout the 1990s with hits like “When I Said I Do” (a duet with wife Lisa Hartman), “A Good Run of Bad Luck,” and “Like the Rain.” He also won several Grammy Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards during this time.
The early 2000s saw a decline in Black’s popularity, but he made a comeback in 2005 with his album Drinkin’ Songs and Other Logic.
Black has continued to release new music and tour throughout the 2010s. He released the albums On Purpose in 2015 and Out of Sane in 2020.
